Rotary Cut Maple

Our Wood is from North Americas number one supplier of skateboard veneer in New Brunswick Canada. Here in Canada we are privileged to get the best maple in the world for skateboard construction. This is all because of our long winters! During the winter season a tree goes into hibernation, this produces what is called "late wood" Basically the more late wood you have, the stronger and more flexible the wood becomes! From there each piece is rotary cut and kiln dried to the perfect moisture content.

Nano Tech Finish

Our revolutionary Nano Technology finish is featured on every board in the Bohdana line. Nano technology is one the latest breakthroughs in science today. It is the molecular construction of a material on a sub-atomic level! Our Nano Tech finish preforms far better in scratch resistance to keep your graphic fresh, but also exceeds in moisture protection. As well it is 100% water based to reduce our environmental foot print.

Adhesives

A longboard can only perform as well as the glue that holds it together. Our adhesive formula is a bit of a secret. We have spent the last 6 years searching, testing and refining a formula that performs exactly how we need it to for a longboard. We guarantee our boards will never delaminate due to manufactural defects. Our adhesive is intended to flex with your board without becoming brittle over time. As well it will not soften over the years, keeping its responsive feel over the life of the board. Our adhesives are manufactured in Canada where quality is of most importance.

Variable Edge Round

Variable edge round is featured on the Montoya exclusively. Your will find the nose with a full round for impact protection, a gas pedal under your for grip while sliding and a half round between the feet for a rail feel when you need it most!

One at a Time Built By hand

A board begins with the design. We bring our team together to brain storm and design a board based on the feel and ride style we are looking for. Each mold is drawn up with precision on a computer CAD program. This is one factor that separates quality from your average build. From there our two part molds are CNC cut for precision and each board is pressed one at a time in ourcustom built, Hydraulic longboard press.   After curing, our boards are cut and shaped by hand with passion love and precision.

Limited One of a kind Art

You will find two graphic styles on Bohdana Boards. One is a UV printed graphic. UV prints are extremely scratch resistant and vibrant because the ink is cured into the wood like a tattoo. The Other kind of graphic you will find is one of a kind spray paint art By local artist Kayla Marok. Every year we take 50 boards and give them to kayla to get creative with. If you can get your hands on one of these limited board I Guarantee there will not be another one like it and a lot of love was put into it.
